Your engagement photography is a great way to just relax and have fun. An opportunity for you and your fiancé to capture some intimate moments together. It is a fantastic way for us to get to know each other and ensure you are both comfortable with being in front of our cameras and with our style of shooting. It is vital you feel absolutely at ease with us and able to enjoy your wedding day without feeling awkward.
We will spend an hour together when the lighting is soft and natural at a location of your choice usually just before sunset – naturally posing you in a variety of different positions to create images that reflect your love for one another.
These engagement images can be used for a beautiful “save the date” card or on your wedding invites or order-of-service booklets. They can be used on a wedding website (should you choose to make one) or decorate a table or be part of a slideshow at your wedding reception.
When planning your Sunshine Coast engagement photography, there are a few things to consider:
- Location: where do you want your photos to be taken? Most of our lovely couples pick locations that are meaningful to them – that pretty little park where you first met, the beach where you love to spend time together, the secluded spot where your loved one proposed to you …
- Dress: most couples like to keep their engagement photos pretty casual. After all, you will have plenty of pictures of the two of you glammed up on the day of your wedding. Feel free to bring along colourful props or accessories – it’s a photo shoot so you can get away with anything! Have some fun with your styling and try something new but it may be best to stay away from bold patterns and bright stripes.
- Style: do you want images that will tie into your wedding theme or do you want something completely different from your wedding day? Are you having a beach wedding but also really like the hinterland or vice versa? Why not capture a location you absolutely love but just haven’t got the time to fit in on your wedding day?
